چکیده
This paper reviews the latest advances in the area of multi-soliton complexes (MSCs). We present exact analytical solutions of coupled nonlinear Schr odinger equations, which describe multi-soliton complexes and their interactions on top of a background in media with self-focusing or self-defocusing Kerr-like nonlinearities. We present numerical examples illustrating the remarkable properties of MSCs, such as their reshaping after collisions. This occurs because the fundamental solitons composing an MSC can acquire different lateral shifts. We also obtain an accurate estimate for the peak intensities of stationary and interactingMSCs, by establishing a rigorous relationship between the eigenvalues of incoherently{coupled fundamental solitons and the range of admissible intensities.

Multi-soliton Complexes in a Sea of Radiation Modes
We derive exact analytical solutions describing multi-soliton complexes and their interactions on top of a multi-component background in media with self-focusing or self-defocusing Kerr-like nonlinearities. These results are illustrated by numerical examples which demonstrate soliton collisions and ®eld decomposition between localized and radiation modes.
متن کاملIntensity limits for stationary and interacting multi-soliton complexes
We obtain an accurate estimate for the peak intensities of multi-soliton complexes for a Kerr-type nonlinearity in the (1+ 1) dimension problem. Using exact analytical solutions of the integrable set of nonlinear Schrödinger equations, we establish a rigorous relationship between the eigenvalues of incoherently-coupled fundamental solitons and the range of admissible intensities. A clear geomet...
متن کاملCoherent and Incoherent Contributions to Multisoliton Complexes
We analyze multisoliton complexes and their dynamics in Kerr-like nonlinear media. The field in each of M incoherently interacting components is calculated using an integrable set of coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equations. We obtain a general N-soliton solution describing propagation of multisoliton complexes and their collisions. The evolution of such higher-order soliton beams is determined ...
متن کاملDissipative solitons of the discrete complex cubic–quintic Ginzburg–Landau equation
We study, analytically, the discrete complex cubic–quintic Ginzburg–Landau (dCCQGL) equation with a non-local quintic term. We find a set of exact solutions which includes, as particular cases, bright and dark soliton solutions, constant magnitude solutions with phase shifts, periodic solutions in terms of elliptic Jacobi functions in general forms, and various particular periodic solutions. ...
متن کاملSpatiotemporal optical solitons in nonlinear dissipative media: from stationary light bullets to pulsating complexes.
Nonlinear dissipative systems display the full (3+1)D spatiotemporal dynamics of stable optical solitons. We review recent results that were obtained within the complex cubic-quintic Ginzburg-Landau equation model. Numerical simulations reveal the existence of stationary bell-shaped (3+1)D solitons for both anomalous and normal chromatic dispersion regimes, as well as the formation of double so...
